No matter the project, Glimpsewood Residential makes every decision and take every step with you in mind because we work for you. You provide the vision, and we make it happen. It’s as simple as that.

At an early age, I found myself drawing pictures of houses. And then one of my sisters started dating a young man who was a framer. I was in awe of him. The spark was lit—I wanted to be a framer. I graduated high school on a Thursday and the following Monday I was framing houses. It was hard, brutal work for little pay, but at the end of each day you could see the results of the work you did. It was extremely gratifying. So was the comradery of our crew.
As with most of us in the trades, to learn more, you need to keep moving. I wanted to learn how to do finish work and I was very interested in cabinetry installation. I worked for a remodeler for a while doing all sorts of roofing, siding, exterior trim, gutters, and anything else that makes a house. I finally became a cabinet installer. What fun it was, and very rewarding.
I then found myself wanting a bigger challenge. I slowly put down the tools and made my way to project management. I became a project manager, for, what some would say, the most elite millwork shop in all of New England. It was fun, but not the right fit at the time. What’s next: Go to work with, what would become, the most prestigious builder in the state. This was the most challenging and rewarding time in my career.
Covid hits—what a great time to start a business. With decades of real in-field experience, having worked with the best builders and millwork shops, it was time to give back. I started Glimpsewood Residential. The company provides clients with home maintenance/property management services, as well as construction management services. The next generation of builders and service providers are on their way up, and I am here to help and mentor this generation as part of the Glimpsewood Team.
The name Glimpsewood: My grandfather had a house in Dublin, NH on a lake. At the base of the driveway was a large rock with the name “Glimpsewood” painted on it. I loved that house. I didn’t get much support on choosing that name for my new company. Most said, “it’s a horrible name” for a business. Well, that may be, but it means everything to me.
Lastly, about the young man that inspired me to become a framer; I stopped by his home about ten years ago. I thanked him. I thanked him for teaching me work ethic, my trade, and more importantly, I thanked him for giving me the ability to provide for my family.
